Bamboo Whisk

Chasen – a traditional Japanese bamboo whisk, designed to combine powders and water into a smooth, uniform texture. It is best known as a matcha whisk, but it is definitely not just for matcha.

With a chasen, you can mix ube, cocoa, chai, protein, collagen, or other powdered drinks – especially those you want to whisk without lumps.

Why a chasen and not an electric whisk? A bamboo whisk allows for better whisking control, gently breaks down powders, and creates that fine, creamy foam for matcha, making the preparation itself a small ritual. 🍵

How to care for it? Before use, briefly soak in warm water; after use, rinse with water only and allow to dry completely. Dishwashers and detergents are not friends of the chasen.
